Bulldog London Dry Gin Singapore 1L 40% ABV

Bulldog London Dry Gin Singapore is a 1L Gin with 40% Alcohol By Volume (ABV) from England sold by Bevbrands Singapore.

A delicious English gin made with poppy, dragon eye, lotus leaves, citrus, almond, lavender and various other botanicals (12 in total). This is four times distilled in copper pot stills, and Bulldog had the highest rating ever received by a gin from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. It was also voted a Top 50 spirit!

REFINED DISTILLING PROCESS
FIRST
Grain neutral spirit (at 96% ABV) is infused with the all-natural flavours and aromas of BULLDOG Gin’s 12 distinctive botanicals inside a copper pot still. This allows the botanicals to macerate in the spirit before distilling, to release their essential oils, resulting in the creation of vapour.

SECOND
The resultant vapour passes through a condenser and is reliquefied to produce an essence. As a result of this, the “heads” (volatile compounds with low boiling points) and “tails” (volatile compounds with high boiling points) are separated from the distillate.

THIRD
The resulting essence (measured at 76% ABV) is compounded further with a wheat-based grain neutral spirit.

FOURTH
The liquid is broken down with demineralised water to the required strength for bottling (40% ABV).

FIFTH
Upon meeting discerning aromatic and flavour standards, only then can it be bottled and labeled as BULLDOG London Dry Gin.

TASTING NOTES
-The nose is slightly floral with lavender, juniper, and a bit of citrus. Some lime and a bit of sweet orange zest.

-The palate, despite the bounty of Asian botanicals reads more clearly in the traditional spirit. Heavy with angelica, especially mid-palate, the juniper is piney at first and a bit astringent towards the finish. Quiet floral notes whisper but remain as a distant backdrop.

-The finish has a bit of astringency again, rather medium-short in terms of flavor, it tapers quickly leaving a faint, slight alcohol ringing in the recesses of the palate.

-The spirit is rather mild, but also somewhat thin. Rather than coating the tongue and evolving, it fades rather quickly.
